Relevant references and links:

  • Mark Ammons (UCSC) provided this PDF write-up describing potential activites with the AO Workbench. It can be used to teach about types of optics, optical alignment, stability of control systems, and AO operation.
  • Link to the HCC AO workbench

Planning for the AO Bench Activity:

  • Turbulence produces optical distortions in the light path
    • Demo with water/projector
    • Demo with CD case
