Speaker Bio:

Michael Cooney is a graduate student studying Electrical Engineering at the University of Hawaii - Manoa. He works in the Instrument Development 
Laboratory as an instrumentation engineer. His research focuses on the design and development of sub-micron integrated circuit pixel detectors 
used for particle tracking and detection in particle accelerators. His day to day work includes designing circuit boards, firmware, and software 
to support all manner of high energy physics experiments.
